MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. has been involved in the Hotel/Restaurant Industry since the early 1990’s. Our goal has always been to provide a high quality, consistent product, from which the continued development of our meat line of pheasants has created a positive impact in this industry. Our development of the meat line also has positively impacted the retail/grocery industry and you’re now able to find our products in many stores across the country.
Currently, we are the nationwide purveyor to Whole Foods Markets who boasts approximately 288 stores. Other retailers who carry our product include Harris Teeter, HE Butts Grocers, and The Fresh Market. There maybe other retailers who purchase our products through our network distributors that we aren’t aware of, and would appreciate hearing from you if you know of retailers carrying our product.
The fact that our meat product has been third party certified as all natural is one reason for its demand in both the restaurant and grocery industries. Our birds are fed a grain based diet with no added animal by products, antibiotics or growth stimulants. During spring and summer months, chicks are placed in flight pens with full access to feed and water as well as the grasses and grains the pens are seeded with. During the fall and winter, our chicks are placed in large, open, free roaming barns where they can run around and eat at will.
Should you be in Southern Wisconsin, we invite you to visit our retail store Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
