Janesville-WI - Oct.1, 2010— Most people have all tried a meat pie at one time in our lives. Commercial pot pies are swimming in gravy and packed full of potatoes, which are the cheapest ingredients for the manufacturer.

 

MacFarlane Pheasants went a different way when we came up with our new Pheasant Pie with Wild Rice.

 

We have no potatoes in our pies; instead we used some wild rice. Our pies are chocked full of corn, green beans and carrots, making our pies colorful and nutritious. One serving of pie contains a full serving of vegetables which is something other pies just can’t do.

 

“We wanted to create a product that would be colorful and different,” said Mary Jo Bergs, National Sales & Marketing who was instrumental in the development of our Pheasant Pie with Wild Rice. “And we have done it in such a way that our pies are something completely different than other pies on the market.”
