MacFarlane Pheasants Website Revised
In the fall of 2002, we at MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. decided to look into developing and producing a better website. We wanted to create a website that would do three main things: 1) better support our customer by providing a mountain of information that is easy to access, 2) provide a virtual tour of our facilities for those who would like to view the process of raising quality gamebirds, 3) update our online store with pictures, recipes, and other items for sale.
Those who visit our website can now visit five key areas of interest that offer answers to questions you might have. Our 'About Us' section allows visitors to view the six core values that guide our farm toward success, view newsworthy articles about our farm, look through 74 years of history, and to meet the staff members that will be helping you with any questions you might have. After viewers learn about us, you can then 'Contact Us' by using the staff directory which provides phone numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses. Another new item that has been placed on our new website is the ability to request a quote on chicks and mature birds. This feature can be found under the 'Gamebird' heading and it allows users to see the birds, then request a price quote. You can also view our baby chicks as they move through our barns in this section as well.
Over the year our e-mail boxes become inundated with questions about raising birds. Our 'Resources' and 'Support/FAQ' sections offer links to equipment manufacturers and to each development cycle in gamebird rearing. We have taken the time to list several frequently asked questions along with their answers so that viewers can get answers in a timely manner. If the answers are not available, the contact information for the manager responsible for that area is listed so that contact can be made easily.
While MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. has always been open to show people its facilities, not everyone has the ability to visit. Our 'Virtual Tour' area gives everyone who has interest a chance to view the facilities and processes taken to produce our birds. Many of the pictures can be enlarged, and there are explanations for each step. While you are there, you can also meet the owner of the business.
Our 'Online Store' now offers mouth-watering pictures and updated products as well as a few items that were not offered before. The Food Products pictures cover the gift packs offered and a tasty recipe is also provided. For those who have never ordered over the internet, easy to understand instructions are provided as well as the option to e-mail your order.
We are pleased with the new look and products we are now able to offer our customers at www.pheasant.com. The updated support and information sections make it customer friendly, the virtual tour areas allow a bird's eye view of the farm, and our online store provides great product that is easy to order.
