Delivered Through the Blizzard

On January 5, 2011 in General by spope

Last week two of our drivers drove  the truck and trailer in the accompanying picture to Oregon.  While crossing Montana the drivers ran into a fierce snowstorm and seriously contemplated stopping.  But the fell in behind a snowplow and were able to get through the worst of the storm.   Eventually the storm weakened and the drivers drove on to make their delivery.

The truck and trailer carried 4,154 birds and the birds were delivered safe and sound to our customers.  The truck in the picture has over 450,000 miles on it and has been a dependable delivery vehicle.   This week has been a slower week for deliveries, but we now have 3 gooseneck loads of birds scheduled for next week and we are pleased  that business is picking up again.
