Tell me about your family. Are you married? Do you have kids? Any pets?
I married my husband on 9-10-11 and we have 2 dogs. One is a lab mix who loves attention and the other is a rescued Siberian Husky who likes to tell stories and yell at the person who makes it home second from work. My husband and I do not plan on having children as we like the lifestyle that we have.

Where are you from?
I was born in Deckerville, MI and raised in Sandusky, MI. I moved to Wisconsin in January 2004 to work at MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc.

Do you have any siblings?
I have and older and a younger brother.

Where was your first job?
I babysat until I could drive. Once I could drive I worked at McDonalds.
Trudy
Where did you go to school? What is your degree in?
I have a degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University and a Certificate in Poultry Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison from the Midwest Poultry Consortium Center of Excellence.

How long have you worked at MacFarlane Pheasants?
I have worked here for a total of 5 ½ years. I was the Brooder Manger for just over 4 years and have been the Research Manager for 1 ½ years.

What is your job title there?
Research Manager

If MacFarlane’s isn’t your dream job, what is?
I would be happy with any type of job where I get to work with fuzzy, furry, or feathery animals. An animal rescue would be fun, but I think the stress of seeing what people do to their pets would drive me nuts and I would want to make them feel what they put their animals through.

How do you like to spend your free time?
Free time – ha! When I am not at the farm I am teaching some form of Zumba, R.I.P.P.E.D., and Sculpt classes. I like to join in on the Pound fitness classes when it works into my schedule. I do enjoy traveling to tropical places and scuba diving with my husband, visiting my family in Michigan, spending time with friends, and relaxing with a good book.

Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate?
Dove Milk Chocolate of course!

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Ice Cream 🙂

Is there anything you’ve always wanted to do, but couldn’t for whatever reason?
I have wanted to travel to Africa for a while now, but we just have not had the means to make this happen.

I would also love to move my entire family 500 miles closer to me so I can see them whenever I wante instead of having to drive 7-8 hours to see them.
