When it is cold outside, nothing beats coming home to a nice plate of lasagna. It is the perfect comfort food to warm you from the inside out. As we get into the warmer months however, it is not uncommon that we would choose something a little lighter for our mealtimes. We thought we would share one of our favorites with you.
Asian Pheasant Salad
Dressing:
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
2 tsp Soy Sauce
1Tbsp. Sesame or Olive Oil
¼ Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Tbsp. White Vinegar
Combine all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and let sit for 30 minutes.
In a medium bowl, add 1 ½ lbs of MacFaralane Pheasant breast strips, a pinch of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Coat the pheasant, and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
In a medium pan over medium heat, add 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil and heat. Add pheasant and cook on each side for 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add your cooked pheasant to your plate of shredded lettuce, top with chopped green onions, 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds, Chow Mein noodles, and your homemade dressing. Enjoy!
