Here We Go Again!!!

It looks like we are going to be in the the bullseye of this next storm.  The airwaves are just full of warnings of what the next few days will bring.  The most important aspects of the storm for us as pheasant farmers is that the temperature won’t rise above 24 degrees over the next few days and also that it will be windy.  Those two facts diminish the chance of snow sticking to our pens.  At this time we have made the decision not to put our pens down (100+ acres of pens being put down is a big job) because we feel that the risk of putting them down is that we might not get the pens back up.  We’ve heard from 3 other southern Wisconsin pheasant rasiers and our decision seems to be the consesus decision.  Let’s hope we are right.
