Our days start really early here. It’s not unusual for our brooder manager, Troy Cisewski to start work at 2 am. Running a gamebird farm is a 24/7 job, we often have trucks running through the night so our transportation manager Art Schumacher is on call those nights, in case of a breakdown or problem.
Our outside pens though are primarily managed during day light hours. Monday night the forecast was for a freeze, so our pen manager Brian Klein came back to work about 8:30 pm Monday night shut off the water hydrants and he took the pictures above of the full moon.
