MacFarlane Pheasants wants to thank all of our customers who purchased chicks during the 2020 chick season. We hatched 1.9 million chicks this year and shipped 1.2 million along with 101,000 eggs. They were sent all over the United States, but unfortunately, due to Covid 19, we could not ship overseas. We are hopeful that next year, Covid 19 will be kicked to the curb, and we can meet their needs, also!
It was a fantastic year for sales in the United States. April Goble, our Chick and Egg Sales Account Manager, began working at home when Covid 19 hit. She shared her concerns with me at the beginning of the Pandemic, but as the season continued, April said, “It was busier than I ever imagined. People were calling from everywhere asking if we still had chicks available, and thankfully, we did. It was my fifth chick season, and by far, this was the best and busiest chick year. Of course, there were a few bumps in the road, but that opened the door for many learning opportunities.”
Believe it or not, as the chick season has ended, the crew is already prepping for 2021. By the end of September, pricing will be set. The chick catalog will be in the works soon, and the production staff will enter in the farm order for the next season. Once the order is in (around Thanksgiving), the chick system will open up, and orders will start pouring in!
We send out an e-blast to all our customers who have ordered in the past, at that time. When the 2021 chick catalog is ready, it can be downloaded from our website for your convenience. We accept orders until we are sold out of chicks. After that, we take names for a standby list. Typically, we can fulfill the orders on the standby list in a timely manner.
Time to plan for 2021. We look forward to another great year! April Goble is your contact person and she can be contacted at 608-757-7881 if you have any questions about ordering and deliveries of our chicks for 2021. MacFarlane Pheasants uses the United States Postal Service to deliver the chicks safely to you. We also deliver via our own delivery truck or you can pick up your order at our store. We are excited to fill your orders and look forward to working with you in 2021.
