The Ag Business Council of Rock County selects two people each year to be inducted into the distinguished Rock County Agricultural Hall of Fame. On April 8, 2022, Bill MacFarlane was honored with this award. Many friends, family, and employees were present at the celebration. But in early 2020, we started selling pot pies, breast meat, brats, whole birds, and snack sticks to local Woodman’s grocery stores. The North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) Conference at Bally’s in Las Vegas, Nevada was a special treat for attendees. Last year’s event was cancelled because of the Covid Pandemic so everyone was excited to meet up with other gamebird producers and hunting preserve operators to network and learn all the latest information about the businesses they care so much about. Regardless of the shortage, the desire to hunt has not slowed down even with price increases. The purchase of hunting licenses and hunting has surged since Covid 19 lockdowns began in 2019.
