The Biennial Pheasant Management Seminar is always exciting for us, as we get to meet old and new colleagues and hear some of the best speakers in the business. This year we had 123 guests, 17 from as far away as France, Romania, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Our United States guests came from all over the country, including Wisconsin, Texas, Hawaii, California, New York, Colorado, Utah, North Carolina, Alabama, Minnesota, and Arkansas. The accommodations, the seminar, and the group meals in the surrounding area provided many opportunities for guests to meet and network with colleagues in the pheasant business. The chance to share personal experiences and discuss seminar topics was an integral part of our seminar planning, and there were many relevant topics. We are grateful to our speakers and guests for making this seminar such an exciting and satisfying experience for MacFarlane Pheasants. Read More »

Once our brooding season is complete, we still have work to do at MacFarlane Pheasants. This year’s major off-season projects were deep cleaning, maintenance, and organization. Brian Davis, our Brooder manager, explains our reasoning perfectly. “Deep cleaning adds integrity to our biosecurity plan and helps our equipment run properly. Organization and equipment inventory save people-hours, make us more efficient, and keep us ready if we have an equipment breakdown during the season." Read More »

We are already looking forward to the return of chicks to our MacFarlane Pheasants’ Milton Farm, located in Milton, WI. During the brooding season, we take care of our pheasants in the barns, and as birds move outside, we spend our time caring for them in the pens. Before we know it, our pheasants have all been delivered, and our pens are empty. As the weather gets colder, we still have plenty to do winterizing and preparing for the next season! Read More »

We sell many mature pheasants every year because the demand for high-quality pheasants is strong. We are pleased to provide these mature pheasants to our customers, and are grateful for their continued support of our business. The demand for MacFarlane Pheasants’ birds is constant, and our employees work hard to provide our clientele with great birds and service. We have shipped approximately 240,000 mature pheasants so far this year and deliveries will continue into March 2024. MacFarlane Pheasants’ drivers make deliveries all over the United States and Canada. There are two drivers on these long trips so that we can get our pheasants to their new owners without delay.
